Six to twelve months is a soft transition month-stack: first bites if you’ve started, cooler teething nights, more floor time. Take one lane at a time — high chair, sleep sack, clear rug patch — and leave the rest on the hook.
Checklist
- If solids started: one iron-forward food in the weekly rotation the way your clinician framed it
- Teething: cool clean washcloth + bib stack (see Comfort Map: teething night)
- Floor: clear a small safe patch for pivoting / pulling up
- Sleep: protect wind-down order even when naps shift
- Skip buying every “stage” gadget in one cart
Quick table
| Lane | Soft move | Skip |
|---|---|---|
| Feed | One trusted first-food habit | Performance plating |
| Teeth | Cool cloth + bibs | Midnight teether haul |
| Move | Clear rug + outlets addressed | Soft playground install |
| Sleep | Same dusk sequence | New monitor fear kit |
One lane at a time. The Comfort Map for teething night is there when dusk gets loud.
