Six to twelve months is a soft transition month-stack: first bites if you’ve started, cooler teething nights, more floor time. Take one lane at a time — high chair, sleep sack, clear rug patch — and leave the rest on the hook.

Checklist

  • If solids started: one iron-forward food in the weekly rotation the way your clinician framed it
  • Teething: cool clean washcloth + bib stack (see Comfort Map: teething night)
  • Floor: clear a small safe patch for pivoting / pulling up
  • Sleep: protect wind-down order even when naps shift
  • Skip buying every “stage” gadget in one cart
